Cave Music is a show without showmanship. A relaxed, informal gathering, not a Carnegie-Hall-in-a-Cave. So bring a spirit of adventure and cast off the burden of expectations.
Cave Music doesn't aspire to be an amazing performance. But hearing it helps us amaze ourselves. At a Cave Music show we can rediscover some of the best of what we are.

Every show is unique.
After all, this artist is an Improvisator!---Honoring and playing with traditions creatively.
Imagine a flexible structure...that's the essence of Cave Music.
Venue, theme, weather, (and, also, we the people) all influence the mood of a show.
Music inspired by location.
Some caves echo, some are hushed; some are vast, some intimate.
Other settings--strikingly beautiful--are not caves at all.

Please note that, in order for adults to enjoy the acoustics, these concerts are not for children under the age of ten.
Also note that while wine may be offered, Cave Music shows are generally not food events (although The Improvisator's music services for Private Events are often planned to harmonize with dining).

Carols In The Caves
The Improvisator's original Cave Music show.
It began more than twenty years ago as a single concert.
A simple sharing of the solstice spirit and old music of Christmas and Yuletide.
When people asked for more, the annual series evolved. It has retained an innocent quality.
Exclusively old carols!
A tapestry of seasonal lore, simplicity and sharing.
Songs well-loved and little-known... woven with graceful improvisations.
And, of course, concluding with reverent, jolly, mighty voices of the audience as angel choir.

Cave of the Drums! Cave of the Bells! The name says it all.
Overtones of resonant bells blending in silent stillness.
Thunderings of primitive drums rolling deeply down cave tunnels.
Marking solstice, equinox, New Year, other special days.

Interspersed with contrasts of varied tones:
